El Segundo, CA October 16, 2009 -- NEOGOV, the leader in on-demand HR applications for the public sector, announced today that it has integrated its flagship product Insight to the federal government's Office of Personnel Management's USAJOBS, the official job site of the United States Federal Government.

"Currently, there are limited choices when it comes to automated staffing in the federal marketplace. We're excited to introduce Insight to the federal HR community and demonstrate why we are in fact the leader in public sector hiring." said Scott Letourneau, President of NEOGOV. "The integration to USAJOBS is a natural step for our product and our company in showing our commitment to federal agencies."

Insight is the most widely used automated hiring system in the public sector with over 450 government clients it serves over 900,000 employees, over 80,000 users and processes, and over 10 million applications a year.

The implementation of Insight to USAJOBS provides the seamless ability for users to create jobs in the 5-tab format, enables applicants to easily apply through the USAJOBS Single Sign-On, and integrates applicant status and documentation uploads through the "Business Gateway."

"With such an increased interest in public sector employment it's important to remember that the automated system you employ really does make a difference," further stated Letourneau. "Insight makes it easier for applicants to complete their applications while providing the tools necessary for users to easily handle the influx of larger applicant pools, all while complying with agency regulations."

Augusta paperless move expected to save taxpayers $4,000 a week

Augusta, GA (October 7, 2009) - The city of Augusta's Human Resources department is going paperless. It's a move expected to cost--and save--thousands.

Kevin Morris is applying for a job with the city of Augusta.

"It is hard right now," said Kevin. "The economy is so messed up. You got to go through this and that."

Check one thing off the list. The jobs are now on-line through a program called NeoGov.

"It means you don't have to come down to us and manually pick up and fill out an application," said worker Victoria Biascoechea. "You do it one time and it's there."

"It makes it a whole lot easier if you have access to a computer," noted Kevin.

The NeoGov program comes at a cost of about $15,000 for the city. Keep in mind the office receives about 500 to 1,000 applications a week. The city expects a cost savings of about $4.00 per application.

"It is definitely a cost savings to the taxpayer," said employment manager Moses McCauley.

Not to mention "saving on gas," said Kevin.

"It makes it convenient for citizens to apply for jobs on-line," said Moses.

The program has been up and running for about two weeks. Organizers insist it will pay for itself within months. You can register online at augustaga.gov.

At last check, there were at least 8 open positions that ranged from $20,000 to $27,000.
